Gayatri Venkataraghavan learned from Sri A. Sundaresan, V. Subramaniam, Padma Veeraraghavan and Smt. Rukmini Ramani.  Her awards include Kalki award 2003, Nada Oli Award 2003, T.K. Rangaswamy award by Music Academy 2002, DK Pattammal prize for Lady Vocalist by Music Academy 2001, Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer Scholarship, Thulasi Raman prize for concert at Krishna Gana Sabha 2000, Winner AIR National Music Competition 1993, Gokulashtami Series Concert prize by Krishna Gana Sabha 1993.

Dr. Omanakutty comes from a family of musicians. Her introduction to music came through her father, late Sri Malabar Gopalan Nair, a musician of yesteryears, and her mother, Smt Kamalakshi Amma. She further honed her music skills under stalwarts like Dr Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, GNB and Prof Mavelikkara Prabhakara Varma.
Dr.Omanakutty is also a noted for her research and publications in the field of music. On the same note, her research on Kathakali music led to her doctorate in this field. She currently serves as professor and Head of the Department of Music in the University of Kerala. She also chairs Sangeetha Bharathi, a private organization promoting young talents in music.

Maharajapuram Sri S. Ramachandran, the renowned Carnatic vocal musician is the heir to a great musical tradition. He had the unique privilege of being tutored by two extraordinary musical giants, his grandfather, Maharajapuram Vishwanatha Iyer and his father, Maharajapuram Santhanam, and is 7th in the direct sishya parampara of Saint Thyagaraja. With such a strong foundation, it is not difficult for Ramachandran to earn a name for himself and he has established himself as the authentic custodian of the Maharajapuram style. His adherence to excellence and tradition has earned him many awards and titles such as Sangeetha Ratnakara, Isai Puyal, Isai Kalai Selvan, Sangeetha Samrat, Sangeetha Ganamani from the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam and Tamil Isai Vendar. In Aug 2007, he received the prestigious Sangeetha Chudamani award from the Krishna Gana Sabha of Chennai. Ramachandran is a grade A artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan and he is a member of the faculty of Fine Arts, Annamalai University.

The New Jersey State Theatre, in cooperation with IACRF INC and World Entertainment, is scheduled to present a jugalbandi between Carnatic and Hindustani music maestros,

as part of the Discover Artistic India program.

The evening will also feature stunning performances in Indian classical dance by a group of visually challenged dancers from India. The audience is taken beyond the senses of sight and hearing. They will be bathed in an aura of colors that is experienced during the awakening of the chakras solar plexus; fragrance associated with each manifestation wafts in the air. Tantric images and mystical syllables will lead the spectator to a spiritual experience.

Neela JagannathanNeela Jagannathan, a talented teacher/performer, has been teaching young students Carnatic music, devotional music, bhajans and slokas for the past 18 years in Chennai, India. She started learning music at a young age of 7 at Rasika Ranjani Sabha (RR Sabha, Mylapore, Chennai) and thereafter became a disciple of leading vocalist Gana Padmam Tiruvengadu A. Jayaram. She was also trained by Sethu Mahadevan (Bombay Sisters), Hyderabad Brothers and S. Sowmya . 

Neela has been giving performances in Sabhas and Temples and teaching for over 18 years now. She has done jingles (advertisements) in Tamil and Malayalam. She has also performed in AIR as junior artist in Youth Programs.
